Larissa Clinton

I, Larissa Merjievskaya Clinton, was born on September 23, 1971 in Petrozavodsk (city), Karelia (state), Russia. I graduated from the Karelian State University in June of 1993 with a degree in Elementary Education. In the summer of 1993, I was hired as a Secretary of the Export Department for an intermediate trading company called “Graphic Consultants Ltd”. I married my husband Darrell and moved to USA in December of 1997. After three month, I was hired at Elder-Beerman Stores where I worked as a sales clerk in the home store and shoe departments and then as counter manager of Elizabeth Arden Cosmetics. In the fall of 2000, my husband was offered job as a Chemistry Professor at Vincennes University and we moved to Vincennes, Indiana. In November 2000, I was hired as an Accounting Clerk for the Samaritan Center Mental Health Services where I worked for over 7 years. In the spring of 2007, I was promoted to my current position, Secretary of Medical Staff Office (MSO) and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Good Samaritan Hospital.

I actively participate in community events and volunteer throughout the year. I am involved in fundraising events for the Rotary and Civitan Clubs’. I am an official interpreter for Rotary International and worked as an interpreter for the Rotary Open World program on four different occasions.

I have a wonderful 19 y.o. old daughter Kristina, who studies Russian Language, Psychology and Pre-Law at Purdue University. In my spare time I like to travel, read, and spend time with my family and friends. I love to cook, bake and clean (you could call me a “neat freak”). I like fitness (FIRM & Zumba in particular) and dancing. I speak Russian and English fluently and currently studying Spanish. My favorite quote is “Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers.” –Tennyson.
